The Wayward Vagabond, commonly called WV, is a mysterious wanderer who exists 'years in the future, but not many.' He is one of the four exiles, and prior to this, was a DERSITE PAWN known as the Warweary Villein. He wandered a large, expansive desert before finding a large BASE and making it his own; through this base, he was capable of watching the KIDS and appearizing things.
The most PROMINENT of the exiles, he appears more often than any other and plays a large role with PM. He possess his TRUSTY KNIFE, which, even to his knowledge, is nothing more than a mailbox flag. He also holds a HANDY RULER which he uses in unison with his knife to make a spear. Among other things, he possessed the Black Queen's Ring and a chunk of Uranium in his belly until recently...
His past comes to show all the various events he suffered before the story as the Warweary Villein. Originally a Dersite Pawn, he was a farmer who used his own uniform as a scarecrow. After having his crops burned, he turned to blame the Black King and proceeded to unite the Pawns of Derse and Prospit to overthrow their respective kings. As revolution headed the Black King's way, Jack Noir swooped in to decapitate the king and coronated himself, much to WV's anger. WV then had the traumatic experience of watching Jack slaughter all of his troops, regardless of color, and only leaving him for no explanation.
A personality and some traits?
WV is a confusing character initially. He was fairly rude in the beginning of his part, typing in all caps, getting angry at John and Rose, etc. After finding a book on Etiquette (which he promptly ate), he became a bit more polite at times. Even now, he is not fairly successful with his politeness. He often slips into being rude only to rectify his mistake with politeness. Similarly, he may lose patience and slip into rudeness.
WV also shows perfectionist tendencies. He often lashes out at others for their mistakes and hits himself for his own mistakes. Being a perfectionist, he often notices flaws and mistakes. On this note, WV is fairly intelligent. He is fairly experienced with technology, capable of figuring any computer or machine out, given enough time; sometimes by the get-go, others within days. He figured out a complex diagram of the base's power, understands Morse Code, and has an uncanny knack for tracking precise distances he's already traversed. Back on Derse, he was amazingly one of the first to recognize the benefits of Democracy.
He appears to hold an intense love for TaB soda, Cookies, and has an obsession with the color green. He also has a few other interesting quirks; he builds a town called Can Town to help cope with his traumatizing past and made a few prophecies within his base through chalk and a chess game.
WV appears as a pitch black figure, similar to all Derse residents, with beady, ogling eyes and blunt teeth like those of cattle. His 'skin' is actually thick, hard carapace. He typically wears brown wraps and occasionally dones the black Mayor's Sash. Back on Derse, he's oddly considered very handsome and appealing to women; similar to that of his counterpart, Peregrine Mendicant.
